Cookie Policy

This site uses a small number of cookies and browser storage entries, nearly all of them needed to make a booking work. This page lists them by purpose so you can see exactly what is being kept and decide what you want to allow.

1.What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store and sends back on your next request. It is what allows a site to recognise the same browser between one page and the next — without it, signing in and then moving to another page would sign you straight back out.

Cookies set by this site are first-party cookies. A session cookie is deleted when you close your browser; a persistent one stays until it expires or you clear it.

2.Browser storage, not just cookies

Parts of this site use localStorage and sessionStorage rather than cookies. They do a similar job — keeping a small amount of information in your browser — with one difference worth knowing: they are never sent to our servers. They stay on your device and are read by the page itself.

We treat them under this policy anyway, because from your point of view they are the same thing: data this site has put in your browser. Clearing site data in your browser removes them along with the cookies.

3.Strictly necessary

These are required for the site to function. They cannot be switched off within the site, because without them there is no working site to use — you could not stay signed in, and a booking could not survive the step between choosing and paying.

• Session and authentication. Keeps you signed in as you move between pages and identifies your session to our servers. Deleted when you sign out.
• Booking in progress. Holds the search you ran and the selection you are part-way through, so moving between the search, the details and the payment step does not lose it. Cleared once the booking is confirmed or abandoned.
• Security. Protects form submissions against cross-site request forgery and helps us detect automated abuse of the search and booking system.
• Load balancing. Keeps your requests going to the same server while you are working, so a booking in progress is not split across machines.

4.Preference

These remember a choice you made so you do not have to make it again. They hold nothing that identifies you.

• Theme. Whether you chose the light or the dark appearance using the toggle in the header. This is a single value in localStorage; with it cleared, the site simply follows your operating system's setting.
• Recent searches. The last few routes, cities and dates you searched, so the search form can offer them again. Stored in your browser only.

5.Analytics

We use a limited amount of analytics to understand which pages are used, which searches are run and where the site is failing people — a step everyone abandons is usually a step that is broken. This is aggregate measurement of how the site is used, not a profile of you, and it is not used to target advertising.

Analytics is optional. Blocking it in your browser, or sending a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, does not affect your ability to search, book, pay or manage a booking.

Some resources load from other organisations — web fonts, and the payment partner's own secure page when you make a payment. Those organisations receive the request necessary to serve that resource, including your IP address, and handle it under their own policies. The payment partner's page is theirs, not ours, and what it stores in your browser is governed by their terms; see Payment Security.

Following a link from our site or your confirmation email to an airline, hotel or other third party takes you somewhere we do not control and whose cookie practices are its own.

8.Controlling cookies

Your browser is the control panel, and it can block cookies, delete them, or clear all site data for jackpotsworldtours.com specifically. The settings live under Privacy or Site settings in every major browser:

• Chrome and Edge — Settings, then Privacy and security, then Cookies and other site data. Per-site controls are under Site settings.
• Safari — Settings (or Preferences), then Privacy. Per-site data is under Manage Website Data.
• Firefox — Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Cookies and Site Data.

Most browsers also offer a private or incognito window, which discards all cookies and storage when the window is closed. That works perfectly well for browsing and searching here.

9.What breaks if you block them

Blocking analytics costs you nothing. Blocking preference storage costs you the remembered theme and recent searches, and nothing else. Blocking strictly necessary cookies stops you being able to sign in or complete a booking — the site will not be able to keep you signed in from one page to the next, and a booking in progress will be lost at the payment step.
